licensed to manufacture on behalf of the public
sector steel company.
The company has an excellent customer base
in all prime sectors like hydro and thermal
power, infrastructure, refineries, cement industries,
pre-engineering, fabrication, defence and
railways. K.L. Steels plays a vital role as a supplying
partner to major corporate and big industrial
players. In recent years, the company has
come up with a clear vision to provide quality at
economical prices with the assurance of providing
relief to customers by making their projects
strong and cost effective.
All the material produced by K.L. Steels contains
medium manganese and low sulphur manganese.
Sulphur and phosphorous are impurities of steel.
Sulphur forms a network at the grains boundaries
of steel. This constituent has a low melting point
and causes a lack of cohesion between the grains
of the steel when it is hot worked. The property of
being weak at high temperature is known as hot
shortness. High sulphur and high phosphorous
(.09 to .13%) is not satisfactory for applications
requiring resistance to shock.
