Ushdev to buy wind turbines from Vestas

Ushdev International Ltd, the
Mumbai-based power generation
and steel trading company,
has placed a purchase order on
Vestas Wind Technology India
Pvt. Ltd for the
installation of
wind turbines
for its 16.5-mw
windmill project
at Theni
village in
Tamil Nadu.
The project is
expected to be commissioned by
May this year. Once complete
the power generated from this
project will be sold to Tamil
Nadu Electricity Board.
With this, the company's total
wind generation capacity will go
up from 22.83 mw to 39.33 mw.
