Amara Raja Electronics, a part of the Amara Raja group, plans to invest Rs 30 crore in its UPS inverter unit at Chittur in Andhra Pradesh, to expand capacity to one million UPS units per annum. The company manufactures manufactures batteries under the ''AMARON'' brand name. The company also plans to diversify into other consumer goods segment like washing machines and air conditioners over the next few years.
